If boxes or packaging containing the Do Not Double Stack Tape arrives crushed, it is a good indicator that the shipment should be rejected or screened for damaged freight.
It has a natural glue adhesive which is activated by water and binds to the cardboard fibres to provide a tamper-evident seal. Because the tape bonds with the fibres of the cardboard box, you can’t remove it without leaving behind clear evidence of damage.
